EVOL X: Berwick Bank: The East Lothian offshore wind farm set to make ‘nearly 5,000 jobs

Berwick Bank offshore wind farm is the UK’s largest proposed offshore wind farm and is poised to create “nearly 5,000 jobs”, says project director Alex Meredith. 

Alex joins Energy Voice’s print features lead, Ryan Duff, to run the gauntlet of issues hitting the offshore wind sector at the moment and to discuss the opportunities Berwick Bank brings. 

The two talk the recent Contracts for Difference results, grid connection and the importance of creating opportunities for people to get involved in the transition to green energy. 

Berwick Bank will need a lot of people to get involved in order to bring the project to fruition and Alex believes that there will be will “pipeline of people to come through our project and develop.”
